Who's the best IS ISP to use atm price wise??

Anyone in another country.

However, if you have a government that has kindly decided to protect it's consumers by granting a monopoly over strategic resource to a (largely foreign owned) private company and not regulate them, then you have to choose the best of a bad lot.

As I see it:

SAOL is currently the best at R350 for 10gigs, hardcapped. Suspiciously low though. But not exactly a huge risk.

Otherwise an IS based one, where you get 30gigs local after your tiny international limit. If you are an avid SAIX gamer or (like most of us) don't know what to do with local bandidth, OpenWeb, Web Africa, Imaginet and Axxess are all pretty much the same.

If you go TelkomSA you deserve to die. Horribly.

Guys hang in there, I have it on good authority that things gonna be changing again next year March.
HOw do u download thirty gigs a month anyway?
DO u have a shack behind your house where u store all ur harddrives??

My guess is that in order to optimise bandwidth distribution and prevent abuse, they will be introducing a "rotation" system. You will have your ADSL line automatically switched off on alternating days, with Sunday being an automatic freebee available to both options. So that you can use it Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. OR Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

After all, why do you need to get your e-mail and check who is winning pop idols every day? Thats just abuse. Hell most Telkom employees only go to work every second day, except the executives who aim for twice a week.

I think I am going to have to go the uncapped/business route, as I must have at least 20-30GB for my business, and about 10-15GB personal - any ideas on the best uncapped/business option out there?

...many thanks for this info Matt156 & BobTheUglgBunny - have checked it out and will probably go with the middle option - have sent a ticket to sales requesting a few points to be clarified, and will await the reply...looks like the best option for my needs though...

cheers
