I am considering changing ISPs to Axxess.

They have a vIP Suite which includes vIP Secure which blocks access to certain ports.

My question: Is vIP Secure optional? I want to be able to load test websites on my server at home and have them accessible to the internet. If vIP Secure blocks port 80 (which I'm sure it does), I obviously cannot run test websites. What other ports does vIP Secure block? That's the only thing stopping me from switching for now.

I also see that they do hosting. Do they host on local or international servers?

Thanks

You could just run your test websites on a different port.
ports 23,80,254,255 should be blocked.

I would hope that vIP Secure is optional

No reply.

Seems they don't want anyone to know if vIP Secure is optional or not.

Hi xistenz

The following services are disabled in the CCP(Customer Control Panel). You have to enable them if you would like to use them:
vIP DNS
vIP Lock
vIP Secure

As for the hosting it's in the USA. We are in the process of moving all hosting back to South Africa within the next 4 months.

Hope that help's.

They're not the best at replying to emails, don't think they ever replied to mine lol, otherwise they're not bad.
