Hi all,
What is the threshold at which Axxess starts throttling uncapped accounts?
Our household has two main 'net users - one of which is mostly using it for the odd YT vid', browsing and email.
We're on 386 uncapped.
Having read about the impressive hauls many people get on their lines over many years, I would say that I am a notable user of bandwidth, but nowhere near the levels of the notorious.
We endured torrid access over the last two weeks or so, resulting in us b*tching at Telkom and then at Axxess - who eventually responded saying that we were being throttled for excessive usage.
I still have not figured out how to view our bandwidth usage on the Axxess control panel - which bites compared to WebAfrica's.
How is it possible that two people on a 386 line can be construed as heavy users on the network?
"Uncapped" my ar5e.
Is there anyone that actually offers a more realistic interpretation of "uncapped" for 386 users in ZA?
I don't game online, so I'm not after ping times - just a decent stream of uncapped bandwidth.
Thanks.
