Axxess throttling youtube?

I have a 50GB unshaped account with Axxess. It has been excellent so far but for the past few days my youtube experience has been awful. I can't even stream standard def vids smoothly whereas normally 1080 streaming works without hiccups.

I don't mean to dump on Axxess here as I'm not sure whether or not this is Axxess' doing but I have turned up empty handed when searching for problems from the youtube side.

Is anyone experiencing similar?

My speedtest result seems normal, as does all other browsing etc.

Same here and i'm on Telkom ADSL 4 MB line, since tuesday buffering on videos every now and then.

Might be related to the new iOS downloads hammering intl uplinks

I switched to my free 1GB account last night and tried to stream a video, it was sloooow. Normally on Vox or WA it loads super fast and maxes out my line. On Axxess it actually buffered :/

Hi, I joined so I could share my solution with you guys after Googling my problem & seeing so many threads about the same problem. I ran around in circles for a while but eventually solved the problem of videos not loading. Found it was simply the flash player not being able to play HD videos (although Adobe said it could!) I found an AddOn for Firefox browser @ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/youtube-high-definition/ & Hey Presto! No problems since. Give it a try.

Thanks, though how long had you suffered with the player problem? My flash player was streaming HD just fine until earlier this week. There was an update but I didn't find any related complaints.
