Well.. IS primarly uses SEACOM for international bandwidth, especially for their consumer-targeted uncapped packages. If you didn't already know, SEACOM is currently down, broken, disconnected (for the most part).
So you are likely to get very poor performance. A better/fairer evaluation would be to test after SEACOM bandwidth is restored. In any case, nothing is cheap for nothing. If you want a proper uncapped account with built in redundancy and a proper SLA, you're gonna have to fork out.

Firstly are you sure that local server is actually working right?
If you have uncapped what are messing around with crap local servers? Go get some international news server bandwidth.

Your not the only one...Ive been with them since they were forced by Mweb to create an uncapped account....its probably the worst uncapped there is. During the day I max out at 1.1kbs for torrents and 6-10kbs for downloads from browsing.
After 8 which is the 'Off peak' hours the max speed Ive reached is 21kbs. If I buy a gig of their unshaped connection my speed suddenly goes up to 44-48kbs
My question is what is the point of uncapped if they are forcing you to buy prepaid. Like I mentioned at the start it seems like Mweb forced Axxess to create an uncapped account for their users and they are still not happy about it. They are still fighting the idea and want people to continue to pay per gig.
There is no spirit of uncapped with Axxess if you are with them buy per gig or look for an alternative. Im switching to Mweb end of this month. They started the revolution and they deserve every buck they get.
Mmmmm! What you're describing is Mweb uncapped 384, except off-peak is effectively later than 8pm.

Exactly what I've been thinking. I believe all these uncapped shaped accounts are pretty much alike when it comes to performance and with the current SEACOM problem performance will be worse as ISPs will naturally prioritise their normal capped accounts when making backup bandwith available.
If I can find one that is more predictable I would use it. It would be so convenient to be able to plan internet use better rather than jumping on and finding it won't do what I want during the late evening when it was doing it perfectly well last week or whenever.
