Axxess usage stats up the creek?

640 * 60 seonds is 4.7 MB per minute
4.7MB * 60 minutes is 282 MB per hour
672 hours in a 28 day window
so 672 * 282MB is 185GB per month

so the total possible (no overheads) with the 384kbps uncapped + account is: 185+461 = 646GB per 28 days

Either the original poster was using an 8Mbps line and axxess is allowing it, or he is missreading his total usage or axxess is not dropping his speed during the day and he is getting full 4mbps all hours.

Axxess, let's hear it from the horse's mouth - how is it possible to get over 800Gb per month on a line that is throttled to 384 during the day!? Your stats on the site show all the top 10 users over 760Gb for the month!

2 512kbit/s 870 GB
3 384kbit/s 821 GB
4 384kbit/s 819 GB
5 384kbit/s 814 GB
6 384kbit/s 793 GB
7 384kbit/s 780 GB
8 384kbit/s 775 GB
9 384kbit/s 769 GB
10 384kbit/s 767 GB

Doing the math, it's not possible AFAIK to get this throughput on the Axxess uncapped 384kbps product!
 
if you get me one months free subscription to axxess and rapid share i will prove it :D
 
But not with the restriction set by the Axxess account. My calculations was about 25MB per second and then you would still struggle to get 700GB's a month. There's even a rolling threshold window of 5gigs (dont know if that applies after 8pm) which would make it even more impossible.

What about viewing web pages and watching youtube vids and uploading mate? I download full speed and yet I still upload at 52KB/s aswell...

Im talking total usage a month... not just downloading.

Great then, excellent product. I only use my home internet at that times anyway. They only need to drop the price to R600 now and then they'll have me the next day as a customer.

I still have problems paying more for my internet what I used to pay for a car installment a couple years ago.
 
ye, got that. Was just questioning the maths in the first line - looks like 30MB per minute to me.
 
would just like to know aswell, do ppl manage to get over 500kB/s on a 4 meg line? peronally ive never got more than about 420kB/s

I average about 460KB/s but I have had 510KB/s for about an hour every now and then...
 
mbp... your maths is wrong...

it's not 15MB a min but rather about 30MB.

Work it out again and you will see its easily obtainable...

Yup here are my stats when I first used Axxess:

"Stats for August (4Mb line):-
749Gb Downloaded, 63Gb Uploaded Costs:- R1549+-
R/Gb:- R2.06

Stats for July (384Kb line):-
78Gb Downloaded, 7Gb Uploaded Costs:- R1149+-
R/Gb:- R14.73

Conclusion:- Get a 4Mb!!! ^.~ (Plus about R800 of writables!)"


I played WoW a LOT and during that time throttled my downloads to 300K or so, so I was still REALLY happy with all I downloaded for my bux! ^.^

You download about 1.5Gb an hour after 8pm (Usually 7:30) until 8am, direct downloads are a MUSt tho as finding good torrents are such a pain! -.-' Recommend a paid subscritption ot anime-eden! ^.~
