Message: We have experienced a sharp increase in network usage due to the latest windows update that was released yesterday. We are experiencing intermittent speed issues and latency increases. Our engineers are doing everything possible to try and mitigate the impact on our network. We thank you for your patience. We would suggest updating your windows over night to reduce the impact it has on your day to day activities on the net.

Message: We have been monitoring and seen a slight improvement in network performance. There is still a high demand for Windows update traffic on our network and we will continue to monitor and try and mitigate the impact it has on our clients internet experience. We thank you for your patience.

In the meantime Telkom seems to stream as usual.
Is this really possible? Its going for 2 days know.

Same story here. It's slightly better today but not normal.

Thank you axxesslady. I am glad to here that everything is back to normal at Axxess. Is that until the next windows update thats around the corner?
Hopefully there are other ISP's that can give a stable stream during these "updates".
Using my "trusty" telkom line at this moment!!! No excuses of windows.
So openweb (they still owe me money) and now axxess failed the exams.
Who next - maybe crystal web????

Once again Telkom had to replace Axxess for streaminmg the TdF here in the Southern Cape this afternoon.
It is now 3 out of 7 days. Can I ask for a refund?
Have tried Crystal Web - Trial account. I will put my trust in them for August.

Have a look at the Vox threads as well re problems in the Western & Eastern Cape today & tonight. Someone on the one Vox thread also mentioned Afrihost as being problematic, though mine is working fine right now (only a 1GB test account, though).

Having also huge speed issues with Axxess lately on my 10Mb line, not to mention the constant high latency on local servers and packet loss. I think I'm going back to Crystal Web, never had these problems with them.

I haven't any problems with Axxess been dual streaming HD everyday this week, is this only a Cape problem as I'm in JHB.

This morning axxess had a problem in the north. Unfortunately they have removed any proof of that. Even what they posted on 13 and 14 July have been removed. See #1.
But give the devil its due. Today I streamed from 12:00 until 18:30. What a pleasure axxess. Even streamed skynews on their hd 1080 setting. For a 4 mb line - impressive. I would like to attach stats for nerds from that webpage, but no luck.
For those in the know - is this possible?

Use snipping tool, save as to desktop, then upload that onto here.

Thank you. Have tried that. Copy and paste - no, etc.
No upload button. Insert image is available but only for URL. No Picasa.
