How is Axxess compared to Afrihost?

I know they are owned by the same people but are there differences between the two networks?

Yes - I was with Axxess for a while. When I started to stream (Netflix), I couldn't get any of there accounts to stream without buffering. With Afrihost I didn't have any problems streaming at all.

Best advice I can give is to test all the ISP's till you find one that suits your requirements.

Just grab the free 3gig Axxess account and test for yourself.

But if it were me I'd trust Axxess more than AH.

Axxess shaped my uncapped account for 36 gigs of usage. Their shaping policy is horrendous as it works on a rolling 7 day window, so download or move a large file once and you're stuffed for the rest of the week.

Personally I'd avoid Axxess and clearly you've had the worst possible experience with Afrihost cancelling your account simply because you posted here on mybroadband about their troubles in the South...

This doesn't apply to the business account. Some other guys on the forum have been loving the business account.

Both equally useless if you in the Cape, esp southern suburbs - notably if it's real time bandwidth you after.
They been saying they going to fix it for months but nothing has happened.

VOX is best.
