Hey everyone,

I'm currently looking out for some opportunities overseas (mostly freelance) and I had a talk with a company not too long ago.

If they do accept me, they mentioned that they will offer me a B2B contract, but I need to check the laws in South Africa surrounding this. I don't even know where to start with this!

I do have a registered business and bank account and I'm wondering if there are any laws that come in to play if they hire and pay me to my business account (holidays, sick leave, etc.)?

Thanks!

Independent contractor? I have been working as such for years for companies based overseas. No paid holidays, no sick leave .etc Sucks but you need to factor this in your ask.

Also no legal protection so you need to perform or you are out of work.

If you are entering as an independent contractor you don’t need a business account or registered entity just a lot easier for tax.

Apologies for the late reply! I never even got a notification for this!

So I found out that it would make it easier company if I had my registered business.

Thing is, they are based in the states and they are asking about how payment is done. In the past, I was paid in crypto, so I transferred the money from my Luno to business.

In this regard, I’m not sure how it works - would I just need to provide them my back details Or would I need to provide the Swift code as well?
