Back Glass Broke

Hi guys,

As per title, 14 Pro back glass broke again. Brain says repair centre used dodgy glass but that’s besides the point. I’ve logged the claim with insurance but as that’s a 2 week process, considering just repairing it myself.

Any recommendations on a 3rd party fixer? Wouldn’t bother normally but my lock button is also not working as well making things a pita.

I’d go with Apple, they are actually pretty well priced on many repairs.
They have a pricelist for the back glass repair on their website

Can’t use the side button would be easy to ignore if the rest of the phone worked okay

I am looking for somewhere in JHB to repair an iPhone 12 back glass.
Apple is R7 500 which is crazy.
Looking for somewhere reasonable and reputable.

Going somewhere today to check and I’ll update pending their price.

If the phone works though, sellotape and a new cover and fix it when you need to sell. Don’t drop your phone in a pool either

2. between the excess and claiming it could be cheaper to repair by a company not charging apple prices.

How much is your excess? Surely not more than R500?

Use insurance. That is why you have it.

Rather get it fixed by Apple than come back crying a couple of months later.

Had an otter box cover and screen protector but somehow managed to break the back
