Back Glass Broke

I’ll start my own apple repair business and ask cheaper … hope I’ll get all your support

I just use a good case & exercise caution = zero issues for yonks.
It does mitigate the majority of damage but I did crack a screen a year or 2 back when I dropped my phone on my keys, a fluke but it landed in just the right way that despite having a good case and tempered glass screen protector the screen was cracked

Defo, I was not trying to imply OP was careless or anything.

You can have good protection & still bear the brunt of a crack/smash.

R10k+ repair never makes sense to me no matter how expensive a phone is. Just screams scam. At that point I'd buy the tools required to repair the thing myself. Makes for a nice hobby too

I've just left the phone at the assessors. Back Glass original is R9k from most places. Full body is R12k which is what my repair most likely will be since the lock button doesn't work.
By full body you mean just the back glass + the frame?

Yes sir. Still don't have the phone. Was promised should be ready by Friday/Sat since they were still waiting for parts

Phone back. Total repair was R14k or something odd.
Just paid my excess and on the hunt for a new phone cover before I start using the phone again.

Was the repair done by Apple?
