I am finally almost back on ADSL.

A "unnamed" :whistle: source has helped me get my ADSL back up and running in record time however, the ADSL part hasn't been done yet.

I can't wait to see 400KB/s again :love:- actually, I can't wait to be able to play games online again! hahaha!

So excited. :o
 
Going to TelkomSA.

Getting a package deal, 5GB/30GB local for I think R140 or something.

4MB because at some point very soon, 4MB clients will be upgraded to 12MB :)

Not finished with them though, want my R1000 deposit back, want the device collected, want the damn antenna off my wall etc etc etc.

But hopefully soon enough, I'll have ADSL back.
 
Hopefully the ADSL prices will change with the line speed to fit our pockets ( /me prays )

I went to a Telkom Direct store in Canal Walk to see if I could get some help, the lady there was soooooooooooooooo rude to me, I walked in and out in 10 minutes, I didn't wanna ruin my weekend by spending it p1ssed off at some damn chick.

I did the "www.telkom.co.za/verifyadsl" thing, says it has been processed, but still no sync'ing and such.

Hopefully tomorrow will bring good news.

I just got a call from Telkom, apparently my line is done, just :( there is a fault on my line.

HAHAHA!

I haven't even had my ADSL a minute and I already have a fault on the line - OH BOY!
 
According to my lovely mother... the DSL light has come on (on my router)

So... 1 more step closer to ADSL-great-ness :D
 
DSL light comes on, stays on (solid)
Internet light comes on, stays on but is RED. :mad:

I'm using a NetGear DGN2000

Called Telkom 0800 375 375 twice;

1st the guy said my line wasn't verified (I can't get online to do it) so he did it for me - said I must turn my router off for 30 minutes, try again 30 minutes later.

Nothing!

2nd guy said its a authentification error, just wait...

*sigh*

And I know my username/password is correct, guest account (guest@telkomadsl with 'guest' as password) doesn't even work

In my "Router Status" it says "connected" (at 4mb and 512KB/s uploaded) :(

mmm... I'm still waiting for them to call me back to arrange time to collect my device... - so you may wait a while!
 
This is damn irratating!!!

I checked my router logs and I see this:

Sat, 2000-01-01 00:10:09 - LCP is allowed to come up.

Sat, 2000-01-01 00:11:09 - LCP is allowed to come up.
Sat, 2000-01-01 00:12:09 - Initialize LCP.
Sat, 2000-01-01 00:12:09 - LCP is allowed to come up.

Date is obviously wrong, but I dunno eh.

Been being stuffed around by telkom for about 2 weeks getting my adsl upgrade completed.

Yesterday all is supposed to be fine, get home all lights green everything good, go to the verify website and oops, cannot communicate with DSLAM!

Also:

Getting a nice solid 4096kbps downstream, thanks Telkom for that!
But my upstream is only 352kbps - AAAARRRGGGHH!

Another fault logged with telkom, DSLAM error persists......

Line not verified so no costs yet but AEEEEEEE..

Anyone know anyone in Telkom anywhere who can get this sorted out please help....:confused:
