So, I've recently moved jobs. One of the best things about my previous job was that I used my own computer for everything and for the past year, that's been exclusively linux.
Now, I've got to use company hardware and software. Linux is completely out of the question. I can't even log into the VPN from home on my linux-powered computers.
And I've got to get used to Windows all over again. I'm not a Windows-hater - Imoved to linux because I was curious and it was fun to learn. But now that I'm used to linux, I feel like I have one hand behind me back when I try things the windows way.
For instance, windows has only one desktop! It took me two weeks to get out f the habit of Ctrl-Alt--> to change workspace. Try that on a windows computer, and see what happens and how irritating it is.
Ag, there so many little things. Windows is just so inflexible and booooring after being used to the linux way.
(This is not an anti-windows rant, just frustration at not being able to do things the way the I would like to, after using linux. As usual, use what works for you.)
