Backtrack on BEE deal is likely

I hope in their submission to SITA they mentioned these plans, coz if they secured the SITA tender and then go change their shareholder structure in any way that leads to a decrease in their BEE score, they can kiss that R 800m goodbye. However it is unlikely they did not consult SITA in the first place.

Does SAP even have competition? No offense to JDE/Oracle/etc consultants here, but who else is SITA going to go to?

(also wasn't this SAP SITA project going to be 10 billion over 7 years or something like that?)

SITA has the option of not going to SAP direct. And awarding it to a SAP partner.

SAP was awarded the HRMS portion of the IFMS project, which is projected to cost R 4Billion.

I don't think it will be double.;)

However I would assume that SAP was the lowest bidder with the right competencies, so the next best bidder would take it.

One thing you need to keep in mind is that, in any sector, once you have submitted a bid and in it you claim to have a certain structure in place, and future developments that are in the detriment of that structure, immediatly disqualify you.
