Backup data

A 2TB drive is still expensive,im thinking more in the line of blue ray or a tapedrive .I don't need to access the data quickly.

2TB hard drive = R1100
Blu ray writer = R2000
Nevermind all the Blu ray discs you need, and all the time you would have to dedicate to writing all those discs.
Just get one hard drive, copy everything over and done. Simplest and easiest way to do it.

So basically hdd is the way to go?I just thought that there might be cheaper alternatives.

Not sure if this is the solution you are looking for, I used Genie Backup Manager Agent to compress 100gb of data to about 18 gigs but it takes take to recover the data and u will need hard drive to recover too.

What i really want is the cheapest possible way to store data and if you say hdd is the way to go,so be it then.

If that is your question then the cheapest way to store data is on a hdd.

Maybe if you explained why you need to back up 2TB of data you'd get a bit more insight.

sorry ,the question should be-Whats the cheapest way to store 2 Tb of data and not Whats the cheapest way to backup 2 Tb of data.
