BAD COMPANY 2. Game terminates itself! PLZ help

I bought the game not to long ago (2-3 days ago). Firstly my friend had the game and when i installed it, the patch was to big to download on my cap. So i went to him and copied his up to date game. I went and pasted the intiar game over the already installed game. I can log in with no probs at al, then if i browes for severs i get a list, when i try to join 1 of them, it takes about 1 minuut then the game terminates itself. And it realy is a pain in the ***. The only time i played it was at my friends house on 1 of his pc's.

My specs is:
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
4GB of ram
Core 2 due 3.0GHz

My sound card is running Realtek High Definition

I am Runnig Windows XP home edition

Plz help

P.S When i check the remember password and try to login it says: Unable to connect to EA
 
Don't know about the "terminates itself" problem.
When you log in and receive a error, try login with a wrong password. After it fails, retry again with the correct password.
Ensure that punkbuster is up to date, in many cases that seems to be one of the biggest problems.
 
This may sound weird but have you recently updated Flash? I know many people who had a problem with BC2 crashing to desktop and a downgrade of Flash solved the problem.
 
Do a fresh install and try get your hands on the update file. (i.e "BFBC2_PC_Client_R10_602574_Patch.exe") then update the fresh install with that. If that doesn't work then I have no idea what's wrong. I get a strange error where I have to re-apply the same router firewall setting just before I try access a server. Strange I know but it works and has solved all my connection problems so far :)

Also try running it as Administrator.

Thanks the password is fixed and my punkbuster is fully updated.

No i do have the latest version but i downgraded and the same happens.

Tnx for al your help. I will try to download the patch at my buds house, he has uncapped but with 1mb/s wich we al know is not near the fastest. I have the 10mb/s but with 10gb. I would download that patch self but i finnish the entire 10gb in 1 month presisly. So i cant afford to use any on the patch
 
I will close this post as soon as i got the game up and running... More posts will be helpfull just incase i still dont get it fixed and if there is any ofer with a prob thay might just vind it here.

That is prob the reason why it won't work.

Rather get the update from someone & do a fresh install. The patch is 2.4gig file but you're welcome to copy mine (I'm in Pta) or I'm sure others on here will have it too.

Alternatively, you can grab it off the SAIX servers with local bandwidth.
 
You can also copy mine. I'm in Cape Town (Northern Suburbs/Southern Suburbs on weekends) if you live close by.
Also 1Mbps isn't all that slow. Go over to you buddy let the download start and hang for a bit. It should be done before you know it :)
 
there's actually 2 major updates
BFBC2_PC_Client_R9_589035_Patch ... about 890MB
BFBC2_PC_Client_R10_602574_Patch ... about 2.4GB

Do a fresh install then run R9 then R10 worked gr8 after my pc died and had to reinstall ... Pity you don't have
a buddy that uses WebAfrica they have the updates on their FTP server and its free cap for any WA user
 
Make sure your video drivers are up to date as well.
Also, try delete the BFBC2 related folder in your 'My Documents' folder before launching. You will lose all your settings, but that's the idea.

no its not the prob becuase he also gave it to some1 else and it worked. im in capetown but its ok... already asked my friend to start.

Also tnx for the invite but if you read previos post you wil hear that my friend already started. yeah 1mb/s is not bad but it still takes to long lol.

Tnx i almost forgot about the R9. I also have local cap 30gb infact and the download is afailable at SAIX. but my international cap must be gone first

most up to date version for xp already on my pc. And also tryed deleting.
 
There's a problem with the auto-login feature. This means you have to overtype the password each time you run the game.
