Bad Company 2: Tips and tricks

Hi, I just started playing multiplayer badcompany 2. Any tips or tricks especially to counter the campers and snipers.

Also how do I load and use the med kit and ammunition box. I've unlocked it and am level 7 now but I don't see it in the load out screen.
 
Tips & Tricks: I just go insane and attack :)

For snipers, I know all the pozzies as I first started out sniping - helps a lot. I now attack those positions first thing. Got a sniper 3 times in a few minutes last night as he kept on return to sniper campers corner and I kept on waiting for him :)

I also go demolition mode when defending in Rush. I destroy all the trees and bushes that Snipers use :) I also like to expose the buildings for Rush to make it easier to defend.


* Not so sure about the unlock problem.
 
Play on a server with a killcam if you want to know where that pesky sniper is - most of those okes are too dim to move after they've sniped you. Same goes for campers.

Only real answer to snipers is to sneak up on the bugger & take his tags, that'll teach him. Always run from cover to cover jigging from side to side, it makes you harder to hit.

Once you know where a camper is just Gustav the bugger.

As for your medic & ammo packs I can't help you there.
 
If you unlocked it it should be under your load out. If it has been selected it is under option 4 or depending on your setup maybe scroll up/down...

Unfortunately the campers and snipers are difficult - the only way to take them out is getting in behind them (maybe spawn on a mate) and cut them like a brother from the flats... :)

The easiest way to make score (which I suspect you already know) is dropping ammo and med kits - once you can defib - then concentrate on keeping your teammies (especially squad members) alive.

Gustavs are so off putting. One night I was only killed by Gustavs, WTF!

If the kits are unlocked they should be there. I know when the game was release sometimes all your unlocks disappeared. But eventually they showed up.
 
The med pack,repair tool and ammo pack don't need to be selected as part of your load-out, once you have earned it you've got it. Just choose the correct class.
Nothing you can do about snipers, if all else fails go operation human shield and run with a group past exposed areas.
 
Oh and don't be greedy or a fool - there are objectives in this game, go for them.
 
Sup Flatspin, I have played against you once or twice... Man you are deadly with that freaking medic layout!
 
Some tips & tricks that I've learned:

  • Join a squad and play with the squad members. Spawn on them, run around with them etc. You'll learn pretty fast this way.
  • Reload.
  • Stick to walls/cover. If you're in the open you won't live too long.
  • Spot enemies. When you see an enemy, press Q to spot him. This helps you and your team immensely. You can also spot vehicles this way.
  • Reload.
  • Drop Health/Ammo a lot. You help your team out and you get points.
  • If you're a medic you'll see lightning bolts on your map and above dead players. You can use the defibrillators to revive these players. The defribs are below the medic supply in your weapons list.
  • Keep moving.

To use the health and ammo supplies, you need to choose Assault or Medic at the load out screen. Once you spawn, scroll through your weapons until you hit the health/ammo box, click to drop it!

Unfortunately there is not much you can do about snipers. Just don't hang around in one spot too long. If you need to go over some open land, know where you need to be and SPRINT like hell till you reach cover.

Oh and reload!! :D

If you're attacking on a Rush map, remember that you can destroy a station by destroying the building it is in (if it's a demolishable buidling), or even by damaging the station directly. Not quite as fun as playing for kills, but but being able to CG/C4/Mortar/Tank/UAV a station down is usefull if you're in danger of losing. At 50 points a pop for objective damage it's also a usefull way to up your score if you feel so inclined.

Can't help with snipers - just try and see where you were sniped from and either sneak up on 'em or snipe 'em back.

You wont see it on the load out screen - it gets equipped by default; med kit if you choose medic class; and ammo box if you choose assult class; you cant have both at the same time ;) oh and just scroll with your mouse wheel to select

Tips? What 'hungrybeaver' said is good and very important

Ad-hoc tip? Choose the smoke grenade instead of the grenade launcher (for assult class) - you can use it to make you own cover when rushing an objective; and I also use it to break down walls/buildings; shoot it into building to disorientate campers; take out an enemy with a direct shot - sometimes I lob like 6 of them all over the place which provides a massive blanket cover and generally is a nuisance for enemies including snipers :D
 
I thought BFBC2 had vehicles? :confused: Use a tank to get back at the campers/snipers. ;)

Don't have the game yet. Luckily I am getting it for free, so I will see how things go.

Not even a tank, is immune to a sniper...tanks are like magnets for sniper's C4 or mortar strike
 
You press 4 to use the special item, you don't need to equip it!?! once you unlock it you can use it. the loadout just gives bonuses to your special perks.

Also tips:
Use the medpack and ammo pack as much as possible... you will rank much faster that way.
Use your noob tube :D they can flush out anyone from any building
Aim for the head
Apart from your assault starter weapon, all the other classes have GREAT starter weapons, I use the starter medic, engi and sniper weapons and I'm level 37 - only on the assault do I use others
If you are a sniper, then you should spot and cover your team mates as much as possible, use your motion mines, even on hardcore you can open the map (m) and see enemies close by
Engineer and medic is support... don't rush into the action head first

OH AND JOIN THE MYBB CLAN!!!

Yeah thanks, that helps. you think they would have put that in the manual or something. I used to always try to place one at the start of the map but I finnaly realised it has a cd (like in dota).

Yeah thanks, see you there. I'm currently loving Rush and Squad deathmatch (Isla Innocentia ). Conquest sucks pretty bad.



Lastly how I join the MyBB clan?
 
*when you get smoke grenades you should drop an ammo box and keep spamming them on the building where the station is located in ....

*spam close to where your teamies are heading too, or shoot atleast 2 smoke nades infront of you to cover your arse when you sprint across open fields / spots / roads / PIPES / doorways ...
it makes knife combat oh-so-fun when theres alot of smoke ;) and that station is beeping ey mense ?

*also ... dont be noob and spam proper grenades from your gun as that spoils the game .

*you could use the trees in certain maps as cover by jumping ontop of them from a higher rock / hill or ledge.

*if you are playing an assault soldier and you kill a medic , swop kits quickly and use medkit then pickup your kit again .... you get health back from his kit lol:D yes this means when another medic wants to come revive the downed one , you could possibly be rambo and knife him aswell and any other teamies who are unaware of you, but be quick , knife one , shoot one , knife one , because the knife has a cooldown delay , you are kind of naked after kniving once.

well now i cant give away all my tips can i :p
 
The biggest tip i can give is go out and play.

Learning as you go is far better than learning off a forum :D.
