Bad Driving thread

This chop thinks as he moves from the fast lane all the cats will move out of the way so that he can take the off ramp. Obviously indicator not needed.

FY 32 SF GP

"I'm going left, man! I'm going left!" - some mid-twenties douche bag on Eastern Boulevard (aka Nelson Mandela) in Cape Town in heavy traffic as he objected to me blocking him from overtaking on the left side of the left hand lane - it's not even an emergency lane, it's designed for storm drainage - when the first exit to the left is easily 300m away.

Edit: reason for blocking him was incidental to blocking taxis from doing the same thing; I value my 90s Toyota double cab paint job a little less than your average taxi driver boss values his Quantum.

The side of the road is *just* wide enough for a car/taxi to undertake... if the car in the left lane swings right to allow them to do so.

Well, technically, that's bad riding, not bad driving...

It's almost as if their brains switches off the second the saddle goes up the pooper. And it's not only the "landscape technicians", it's almost all of the bike riders.

Must be the excitement from the speed. Going at 12 km/h instead of 4 is a thrill.

Not far off actually, especially on weekends when the roadies are out and about. This is why I prefer it on the dirt.

Whoever knows the old man that drives the little Chev spark with this registration, please let him know that he's phone is not the number one focus when driving, let him know that he drives like sh7t and please tell him he shouldn't return to the road ever again!

OT but, I need to buy a new cat for my neighbour. It was sleeping behind my rear wheel and got splatted when I reversed out the driveway...poor thing. I'm gonna have to check what's behind the wheels from now on.

 not nice

I reversed over our one doggie by accident once, but he made a full recovery. Now, whenever the car starts, said doggie moves into the general direction of away.

Good dog.

Dunno if this is an Eastern Cape, East London specifically, thing, but jesus crust the level of bad driving here has reached new heights - and it seems to have started at the same time schools re opened.

I give to you a POS driver from a few days back:

DL60RD GP. The light had been orange for 3 seconds already by the time of the 1 screenshot and he just had to go though, F the red robot, my flashing of lights did deter him in the slightest.

I give to you a POS driver from this morning:

HB55FH GP. This POS also didn't want to stop or heed flashing lights. As per 3rd screenshot he then had to stop before getting through the intersection cause the traffic had been backed up in his direction of travel (I had to go around him) and thus he was now blocking the road for the vehicles seen in screenshot 4.

That's normal Audi behaviour down here

I have an Audi and usually closely avoid tboning this kind of guys as I accelerate hard when it’s green and they’re not even half the crossing.

Not all Audi drivers are the same.

No, they aren't. But when an Audi obeying the rules of the road shocks you more than the ones that don't - that's when you know you're in PE :D

Whilst gallivanting off in Pretoria North this morning, I found this jolly scenario :
