Behind Goldfield. The fence on the other side also gets taken out on a regular basis.

The next right turn just up from there, by the saps garage, I lost control there once, many years back, while taking that corner at a uncivilized speed. Easy to mistake yourself going around there, much to easy. It's better to just take it slow.

They only fixed that fence, at that very spot, back in Feb and now a golfie wrecked it again. Probably came down Helshoogte too fast and could not handle the turn, ended up on the roof.

Funny, I was also in a golfie when I fcked up that corner.

You leaving late nowadays. Saw you the other morning just before 7am.

slow in fast out, clearly an amateur back then!

Yeah, but now I have much better cars that can take the corner at speed, but I'm not into that kind of thing anymore. I'm an actual grown up now.

Yeah, winter time, used to be at the office before 7am, now I only leave home roundabout then.

While it is easy to drive safely on that road above the limit of 60, I would not recommend going too far over the limit - especially in the wet. I've had the ESP reigning me in in the rain (see what I did there) in those bends.

Your car's esp is very aggressive. On the Passat it steps in very late sometimes. TC as well. Allows some slip. Good for fast pull offs in the rain though.

I have really crappy Roadstone tyres at the front, also the whole layout of that car is geared towards insane under steer. I'll take the aggressive ESP anytime over what that golfie did.

I remember many years ago...doing 210km/h on the M1!! 10h00 on a saturday morning...coming from town and joining the N1 and off at rivonia in a 1600 nissan sentra ...When you slow down to 120 it feels like you walking it feels so slow....

When the concrete highway was actually concrete ;)

That speedo must have been out quite a lot, or it must have been down a mineshaft.
