Bad Driving thread

Hate it when that happens, lane discipline is a lost art apparently.
The right turn at the traffic light at the end of the M3 towards Ou Kaapse has to be the worst, especially when they changed the lane markings a couple years ago.

Sticking to the correct lane in a circle is also something most South African drivers have never heard of. The Harbour Island circle on the R44 being a prime example. Someone should mount a camera there.

Fatal accident Thursday 26th morning, intersection Main Road and Southfield Road, Plumstead, CT

I'm 4th in a queue to turn right at the traffic lights. Lights turn red and pedestrian light comes on. We move forward. The first two cars make it through. In front of me is a Fiat Palio. Car (Chevy Spark) comes through red light, some 5 or 6 seconds after it turned red and hits the Fiat head on. The Fiat leaps into the air and lands on a parked car. I get out with my passenger and with two staff from Clicks Stores, rush over to this car, which has now fallen off the parked car. There is a lot of blood and the Fiat's driver's neck is almost severed. The pharmacist is there by then and says she is dead

We look up to see the Chevy driver shuffling along the pavement in the opposite direction. He collapses about 20m further on

An EMS ambulance arrives not 3 or 4 mins later. They attach the man to a board and put him in the ambulance. Another ambulance arrives. They take out this lady from the Fiat and cover her with a sheet

At this point, the owner of a Print Shop appears. It is his car that the Fiat landed on. He calls the SAPS. They arrive 10 mins later.

I've seen more impressive donuts at an under-construction garage.

I saw the ultimate in hypocrisy today when one Ford Anger got annoyed with another Ford Anger that jumped a red light.

But the annoyed one was using a turning lane to go straight, so I guess it evens out?

Perhaps having the maximum number of kids on board and the least amount of working rear brake lights makes it OK to cut me off when I'm turning.

OMF I had the biggest dig head in front of me today.

First they put their indicator of to say that they were turning left, but then at the last second change it to right and went right.

Then at the next traffic light they started to turning left, but then realized that they actually wanted to got straight and and pulled back in front of me. I had to break hard to avoid them hitting my car.

Poeth,

seems these days the yellow chevron on the left is another lane for loadshedded robot jumpers, and seem also that straight lanes must be used to turn right for those that don't even save time by using them. But above is a taxi crossing over a couple lanes just to do a u-turn, with traffic approaching.
