In Somerset West today. Description of what took place on the video page.

Nice one dude, and also fortunate that you turned right at the robots instead of following the Polo to the left. I think if you had gone left it would have been a no brainer for the black Honda to have run the red robot and followed you both. Was kinda hard to see what was going on though but you did a good job in the description.

What you did at the end was the heroic part :) http://youtu.be/y1ZmQf3iRaI

Pasted below for everyone else's ease of reference.

Prevented possible road rage incident on the N2 in Somerset West.

Date on the video is wrong but the time is correct. Date of the video is 09 August 2014.

Driver in Honda was being agressive toward single female driver in silver VW Polo.

While the video does not portray how serious it was, the driver of the black Honda was very aggressive.

He first pulls up behind the VW who is driving in the right hand lane on the N2 going towards Somerset West. I am not sure what sparked it but it seems as if the Polo was taking too long to give way for the Honda to come past. The Polo driver moves over to allow the Honda to pass. The Honda driver then pulls up along side her on the N2. The Honda driver then holds up traffic in the righthand lane while arguing with the Polo driver. He then goes past the Polo and returns to the left lane. I thought that was the end of it. The Polo driver returned to the right lane and passed the Honda who was at this point in the left lane. When the Polo passed the Honda, the Honda then returned to the right lane giving chase after the Polo driving very close all the way to the Broadway Boulavard offramp. The Honda driver then pulled up alongside the Polo blocking the right lane.

The speed I was at while the video was being taken was 115km/h.
At this point I noticed that it was a single female occupant in the Polo and two males and one female in the Honda. I was prepared to get out of my vehicle to assist but my wife and mother talk some sense into me but I still felt that I needed to do something as it did not seem that the driver of the Honda was going to let up.

When the traffic lights changed I saw an opportunity to pull in front of the Honda while allowing the Polo driver space to get through. I held up the Honda long enough to allow myself to still get over the traffic light safely but leaving the Honda stranded at the traffic light.

I hope the female driver of the Polo is not too shaken by the ordeal.

The registration number of the aggressor is CF19438 and the Polo is has a Somerset West Registration.

Would like to know if there are any possible legal implications for the Honda driver?

Does the driver of the polo need to lay a charge or can I do lay a charge of reckless endangerment without the assistance of the polo driver? A car can be a very dangerous weapon and he was being reckless and putting other motorist in danger by his actions.

The lady can open a case of intimidation, possibly assault if the Honda driver had threatened her. Not sure what you can do, other than have reported a reckless driver to 10111, citing road rage.

Nationwide Security... 18:50 today on Kelvin Drive, Gallo Manor, skipped a red robot and sped through an area known for accidents, particularly through the S-bend.

Was in no hurry, stopped at the next robot. Just pure bad driving.

Today at 17:50 on the N1 at the Plattekloof offramp (and onto McIntyre Road), a black BMW 120d Coupé MBULU WP / MBUKU WP (can't remember which) decided it's a great idea to not break one, two or even three laws, but four at the same time. Driving without dipped beam lights in dim light, driving with rear fogs on, changing lanes over a solid line without indicating, and talking on her cellphone while in motion.

That would be 5 laws. Changing lanes on a solid line AND changing lanes without indicating.

And people still doesn't anticipate narrowing of the road, they will try to push past the guy who's still in front of them...

Around 11am on Grayston heading to the M1 North, a black Cayenne registered TEBCON1 GP (not sure about the 1), was swerving between lanes, then gets on the left lane (which only goes left) before cutting my way (at the extent that I had to hit the breaks and the car behind almost went into me) to enter on the bridge over Katherine St which is the middle lane. All of it without indicator obviously.

He continues and speeds up at 100+ km/h on the part between the bridge and the M1 North entrance before cutting the way of another car at the entrance of the highway...

And then keeping on swerving on a busy M1. Funny enough, I was in the middle lane on the M1 and actually passed him without changing lane once...

Could be them? http://www.tebcon.co.za/

More than likely.. post a link to the post on their Facebook page if they have one...

Tebcon is also a first name and there was no company sign on the car so difficult to be sure !

Yesterday, on Rivonia as I was turning left onto Bryanston Road. This traffic light also has a light for the slipway traffic.

So I stopped as the front car in the slipway as it was red for me. The taxi behind me hoots. At first I thought he might be hooting for passengers, but he carried on and it became a little incessant and blatant.

About 3-4 cars passed in front of me during the transition so if I had gone they could have hit me anyway.

Then for some reason the last impatient hoot of the taxi nearly made my head explode. I don't know why but it did. After a quick death stare in my rearview I noticed the light was now green for me (Hopefully I didn't end up delaying, not sure) so on I went.

About 300 meters down I catch up to another car but I can sense the aggressiveness of this taxi driver behind me. True enough he comes bounding down irrationally accelerating and then overtakes 2 cars in a single lane, WHILE THE FRONT CAR WAS INDICATING TO TURN RIGHT!?! That could have been a nasty accident but as he sped past I hooted, not only at him but also to alert.

After all this, the taxi driver then challenges me at the next traffic light?!?! WTF... He winds down his window and looks straight at me as if to imply what am I going to do about it. Jesus did I want to murder him. I just shook my head at him though, what else can I do... :/ Anyway he took the turn and I carried on with my route.

This industry must catch a wake up because it isn't one of them but all/majority of them who behave like this and it has gradually degraded to the point of obscenity. I witness it every single day multiple times a day and nobody is doing anything about it :(

Stupid bakkie drivers (Amarok, Navara etc) are annoying the hell out of me....worse than BMW okes. 150kmh in left-most lane zig-zagging through traffic all the way.

On Daisy Street (one lane for each side of the traffic) during peak traffic, one these Toyota Advanza cabs comes on the opposite lane and just stops in front of me as if I had to move to let it go through, I told him to reverse but he refuses, hoot but still nothing...

I decided to stop my car in such a way that he wouldn't be able to proceed on any of the two lanes (even if he could reintegrate the lane he should be in), went out of my car and told him that I have all my time and I can wait for an hour or more if he's ready for it but that he will reverse.

After 10 minutes, he ended up reversing 300m :p

That feeling was absolutely thrilling !

Just a precision, nobody was behind me so I didn't delay anybody except him.
