what two wrongs?
its perfectly legal to flash someone to advise them to move out of the way!
It may be legal - but it definitely makes you a douchebag if you do so.

Any one who don't use indicators!
I swear you see some people on the road who think it costs money to indicate.
when the lane to the left is clear and you refuse to move over and hogg the right lane - that makes you a dougebag
In my experience, more often than not, the douche flashing lights does so:
- when the highway is so congested it's not going to make one jot of difference if he passes you
- when the lane to the left is NOT clear and you obviously couldn't move over anyway
- when you're also trying to get past a slower car in front of you but somehow their need to pass is more important than everyone else's
- when the fast lane ahead of them is full of a line of cars that would also like to be going faster if the lane wasn't congested but they want some kind of special priority because they're driving a luxury car
The other day these two young ladies driving in a open top Jeep pulled up next me when I stopped at the traffic lights and proceeded to flash me. I nearly had a 'stroke' - fap fap

I dont like ppl flashing lights at me.Rather sit on my ass and I will move over (which happens once every month - I drive it like i stole it)
No, it's the correct way to let someone know that you would like to pass. How else would you suggest informing the driver ahead that you wish to overtake? Post him a letter?
I do not need to be "asked" to move over. My car is fitted with three attachments, left, right and center, that allow me to detect the presence of a vehicle behind me. I can therefore work out, on my own, whether I can safely allow you to pass.
Flashing, while legal, is simply being a douchebag.
Self-righteous much? Have you never missed someone coming up from behind? Ever?
It's not about what you like - it's the law. Flashing lights is the legal way to inform the car in front of you that you wish to pass.
Nope. I check the mirrors very, very often.
And I'm not the only one being "self righteous".
I just want, when I am on the road, to be treated with the respect and courtesy with which I treat other drivers. That means indicating well in advance, letting people in when merging (and merging correctly) - and, yes, I do not flash my lights at slower cars if I want to pass, nor do I do that super-irritating toot on the hooter 0.0000001 seconds after the traffic light has changed to green.
