ROFL, you can overland ANYWHERE in that. Heck, roads are not relevant either!

Hopefully you can drive over taxis as well![]()
In the last while, have yet to see a taxi that DOESN'T ignore the rules of the road. They take it to the extreme, compared to all bad drivers.
I really need to get a dashcam, can also start building up quite a collection that would generally include taxis.
The other day I almost rear-end a Polo making an illegal right-turn, and he showed me his middle finger in reply when I hooted. I was laughing for the next two blocks!

This morning a taxi was making an illegal stop with his hazards on. Probably a few metres away from a designated area for them to stop & offload passengers. I try to go around and he obviously finished loading or unloading & just turned into my lane (with his hazard still on)
I was then left looking like an idiot because he was in the lane I needed to be & traffic was backed up to the point where he had stopped. I hate taxi's and I dream about getting an old banged up bakkie with a bull bar, so that I can brake less viciously and leave a mark every damn time:twisted:
Get an old 3 ton Studabaker.
Couldn't find one on gumtree, but this will suffice:

And yet more yellow lane driving in general plus three drivers using the wrong lane to overtake/U-turn etc...

I've come to the realisation that it is taxi passengers that are as much to blame for where taxis decide to stop as it is the driver's fault.
I often see it on my way to work - people standing waiting for a Taxi at an intersection when literally a few meters down the road the is one of those designated pull off areas for taxis and buses. Of course the driver is going to stop illegally because that is where the paying customers are.
Same goes for taxis stopping to let people out.
Agreed, there is equal blame there.
Problem is that many of the passengers aren't drivers - they don't actually understand why the spot they are standing in is dangerous. If the driver refused to pick them up from a dangerous spot, they'd soon start standing where the taxi will stop.
There are far too many taxi passengers that are grossly obese and I suspect it is a direct result of taxi passengers not wanting to walk more than a few steps to get to their destination, so they tell the taxi drivers to stop right outside where they want to be instead of at a nearby layby which I have observed is often about 15 metres away from where a taxi stops.

Lol
Is that a scientifically proven fact?
