Bad Driving thread

ROOIKOP GP
Drives a white Toyota Landcruiser VX V8
Likes to tailgate... despite repeatedly being shown that the cars in front are slow due to traffic.
Very aggressive type of person, and thinks it owns the road.

Wonder if it's related to the garden service :)

I'm amazed at how many people now go through red lights - it's really sad that people watch others do it and believe it's alright - same as driving in the emergency lane, turning right or left from a straight lane because they don't want to wait in the line - I always want to ask them, what makes you think you're more important than the rest of us?

Noticed as well. Seems like they (especially taxi's) go over the red robot so late that by they time they start going over the red robot, the green robot has come on for the opposite side already. Accident waiting to happen.

I love red light jumpers when I am in front of the opposite lane waiting for the light to turn green. As soon as it goes green I floor it with one hand on the horn and the other giving a one finger salute out the window. I once had a girl so terrified she just stopped in the middle of the intersection and we drove around her (me and the cars behind me).

Thank goodness 80% of the time I cycle.

One of my running routes is along a double lane road. I tend to joke and tell people they can pick car spares along the way. It is insane how many accidents you see at traffic light intersections. And I know it is mostly due to skipping red robots.

Problem is when they don't slow down. I have had ones that almost rolled their cars when you start driving with the green light. It's like they are completely oblivious to the fact that they are actually driving over a red light. What also happens without fail is they swear and throw zap signs. I've not had a single one "apologize".

In most cases my cars are cheaper than their, they are in the wrong, I won't feel bad when I bash them. I miss my old R30K Astra G now.

I'm talking about people flying by at 60 and above not crawling over the red light.

It's instances like you describing that I wish I had has old piss cheap Defender or Land Cruiser...

Will teach stupid parkers a lesson as well

An old Defender with dashcam would be perfect for that. They won't know what hit them, or in this case - what they hit. I guess I won't be able to get that close in my current cars. Had a blast in my 100hp Corsa D over Bainskloof on Saturday. Never got past 3rd gear and revved that Twinport power plant into the red when needed.

Don't need an old Defender, any one will do. I should get a dashcam and post some of the clips here.

I'm pretty sure a few people have had to go home to change their underwear after trying to gap it across a traffic circle and underestimated how quick a tuned Puma is :D

Here is something interesting...

Near my home is this woman who drives a silver van, and advertises here:

http://findplace.co.za/Gauteng/Roodepoort/Angels-in-Transit

This woman cannot drive! It has happened twice now! The first time on the 7th I wound up in front of her, and she tailgated me in a 40km/h zone, eventually not even driving at 90km/h could get her off my arse.

Yesterday, on my way to my son's school, at an intersection, the arrow turns on, for me to turn. Same woman, same vehicle she starts moving forward... I nearly hit her.

If you live in the West Rand, and you are considering using this woman to transport your kids- I would seriously rethink that!
She cannot drive, I am sorry but I don't think she has a valid driver's license.

Speaking of yellow laners, had a bit of schadefreude the other day. Major traffic jam on the N1 North (where the Ben Schoeman merges with the Krugersdorp highway).

Guy with Golf (damaged front end) was standing next to the road (in yellow lane) and a little bit further on was a lady crying her head off next to her car whose a$$ was sphinctered into itself.

The yellow lane is there for a reason, NOT to bypass traffic jams!!!!

So the Golf tried to bypass traffic by using the yellow lane?

The ones who cry their heads off are usually the ones who cause the accidents in the first place...

These folks have a FB page...
Anyone driving commercially should have ALL the right boxes ticked! Especially where children are concerned - since they will not necessarily pick up on bad driving and report it.

I don't have FB so I couldn't access that.
But that woman is a danger to society.

Happened during the long weekend. In the Cato Manor area in Durban (near the Sasol garage). It is a 2 lane road, the right lane is a turning lane and the left lane continues straight, past the lights.

He decided to go into the turning lane to then cut in front of everyone that was going straight across. Going towards Albert Luthuli where it broadens into 2 lanes, we eventually go along side him and see him with a beer bottle in hand. This was at 12pm on the Saturday.

I do not understand why people drink and drive, there is not a car journey long enough to make a person feel deprived of alcohol. Was unable to get a pic of him drinking.
