Bad Driving thread

Don't have it on camera, but last night heading towards Parow valley, chop in a 335 waiting at robots decides to do a burnout while turning.

FFS why are BMW drivers like this ??
Maybe this is why the stereotype exists.
Honda drivers also get flack, but there must be a reason

Driving past Bishops in Rondebosch, on Campground Rd, towards Claremont yesterday. There are 3 lanes here.

The left hand lane is reserved for turning off, first into the Silwood Centre, then into Bishops, then, just after the church, for turning left at the traffic lights into Sandown road, which is where I want to go.

So I'm driving in the middle lane past the Bishops turn off, and I notice this woman in a white car a little behind and to my left, happily ignoring the "left turn only" arrows that punctuate that lane. OK, I think, she's close to my blind spot but I know she's there. I indicate to change lanes to the left - well in advance - and speed up a little so I can safely change lanes while keeping her in view.

She's not letting me in though.

The ****ing bitch starts hooting and speeds up to try to draw parallel with me. Now the distance from me to the traffic lights is getting smaller and smaller, and this retard is going faster and faster, leaving me nothing to do except hit the brakes and slow down, then change lanes behind her. Then we both had to stop at the traffic lights, so obtained no advantage whatsoever.

It is not *that* big a deal, but really - when someone is ahead of you, obviously trying to change into your lane and has been indicating that they wish to do so for at least 10 seconds... then you do not hoot and speed up. You let them in.

You must have missed the SA driving course where we are taught to not let anyone into your lane ever and if they get into your lane your are a failure to drivers country wide /sarcasm

DHL van driver CN37RXGP jumping at 60kmh a stop sign (that I was about to cross and I had right of way), I avoided him by piling on the brakes and then jumping a red robot in Randburg.

Report it to DHL themselves, they will take action against the driver.

Sounds like you need a faster car... :D

Had some chick in a Porsche GT3 cut me off while I was trying to overtake her. She intentionally sped up and blocked my car from passing her on the left (she moved into the middle essentially using both lanes). We stop at a robot and I see she is holding a cellphone to her head. I almost knocked on her passenger window to ask her if she needed money for a headset or car kit. Not sure if she was completely oblivious, or just being a bitch.

Also, heading to Fourways on the highway from the airport. About 4km before the William Nicol offramp my sister and I (I was driving) encountered a very drunk driver. This was on a Sunday evening at about 11pm. He was swerving across two different lanes, cut in front of cars to get onto the offramp, had his indicator on for the whole time (for around 3km). I was terrified he was going to veer into other lanes while we were crossing over the William Nicol intersection. Thinking back, I should have called the cops. I hope he didn't hurt anyone.

A twenty something twat overtook 3 cars on a solid line....jesus. I hooted at him then saw him at the red robot and just gave him a death stare he saw.

I would have thrown a zap but im no fighter.

Saw another very drunk driver on the road near Leslie / Douglas Drive in Douglasdale. I suspect that the driver had left Hogshead. Drove behind this car for about 800m, and in that time he almost hit the pavement 3 times. That is two different drunk drivers I have seen plastered to the point where they cannot drive in a straight line in one week. What kind of mates let their friends drive like that?

The kind who doesn't want to get into a fist fight with a belligerent drunk... not that I'd associate with such and have such as friends.
