Bad Driving thread

The most annoying taxi drivers are the ones in these toyotas.

I so want to make a doohicky on wheels that can travel under the taxi (at speed), undo its sump plug, then travel back. Sump plug will continue to loosen on its own.

Or said doohicky can wedge something combustible into the engine compartment from the bottom, which'll cause thick, black smoke to billow out :D

This is an old D00S who works at VR laser. Every morning without fail skips the red light at the intersection of main reef and haggie rd.

When i confronted him today, he said "ok whatever" and walked away.. couldnt help myself but call him a ****ing idiot.

Hot off the presses... happened this morning... sad for all involved :(

Not sure who's at fault.

Fortuner and Taxi had an unfortunate meeting.

UPDATE :

Fourteen people were left injured this morning, four of them critically, following a partial head-on collision at the Lloyd Ellis and R114 intersection in Mnandi.

ER24 paramedics, along with several other services, arrived on the scene to find the wrecked taxi and SUV in the middle of the intersection. Several people were found walking around on the scene while one patient was found lying trapped within the taxi.

Rescue services had to use the jaws of life equipment to free the patient from within the taxi.

Once freed, paramedics assessed the patients and found that four had sustained critical injuries while ten others had sustained minor to moderate injuries.

Paramedics treated the patients and provided the four critically injured with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the ER24 Oneplan Helicopter, as well as another private helicopter, airlifted two of the critically injured patients to nearby hospitals. The remaining patients were transported by various ambulances to nearby hospitals.

The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.

I had an intrusive thought today to swerve out in front of an Audi Q3

I was approaching an Audi Q3 driving in the right lane on the N2 just past Bluewater Bay today doing 100km/h. I was in the left lane at the time, and there was a truck ahead of me but quite a while away still. I was doing the speed limit so I eventually caught up to the Audi. At this stage it was swerving across its lane from left to right and the steering was quite jerky.

When I passed this Audi I glanced over and saw the driver looking down at her phone, oblivious to anything going on around her and the string of cars behind her wanting to pass. I hooted at her in an attempt to get her attention, but this bitch kept glancing down and didn't once take her eyes off the screen.

When I got around 100m ahead I saw her still swerving maniacally and all the other cars that was stuck behind her start to overtake her on the left as she seems to have still had her eyes glued to whatever it was on her phone that was more deserving of her attention than the road ahead.

The mind boggles sometimes

Moronic white old Touareg registered S.........GP who flew past a red robot on Louis Botha Avenue (even the taxis stopped way before him) to land on me being already at the middle of the crossing, causing me to hit the brakes to avoid him.

Had a similar experience riding home on Tuesday. Just after Allandale, there was a BMW in the second lane with its indicator on to move into the fast lane. I was lane splitting, so I slowed down (and the guy in the fast lane slowed down) to allow the driver to change lanes. Seeing that nothing was happening, I accelerated slightly to pass her and as I got alongside this muppet, she was staring at her phone, with headphones on nogal. My bike bike is not quiet at all and I rode along side her for about 50m, but she didnt look up at the road of even in my direction once.

I would purposely slam into this car and get my insurance to pay for it. Jerrrrr! K53

This is there by Irene if I am not mistaken, everyone seems to do this left right lane nonsense at this turn

Name and shame.

Can’t remember the rest of the plate, I saw it at a 90 degree angle.

I wish I did, it’s these old Gauteng plates with 3 letters 3 numbers and then GP (SAA000GP for example) but can only remember the S and GP.

There mustn’t be many white Touareg this old left on the road.

Who has noticed how reckless the Emer G Med private ambulance vehicles drive, even when not responding to an accident..I get a 3series BMW FL 24 TS GP driving like an idiot daily on my route. In my personal experiences most BMW drivers are the worst, and women,I drive a Bike everyday to work, but these Emer G Med drive like a bunch of idiots.

That's what happens when you don't observe. i had a guy in an old polo almost smash into me at the circle at welgevonden yesterday, sitting on his phone. Didn't even look up as he entered the circle.

Sad thing is you kind of expect people to not look where they are driving nowadays.

What is the brain fart people suffer from when going into a roundabout or circle?
Just give way to your right.
Some idiots stop dead.
Some go straight over it.
Some get into the wrong lane.
Stupid aholes.

On that subject, giving way to vehicles approaching from one's right does not include giving way to vehicles that have not even reached the traffic circle but are being driven by hell beasts speeding towards the traffic circle with the intention of driving straight through and not even slowing down for the yield road markings that exist before one enters a traffic circle.

I would like to see speed bumps where those road markings are at the "entrances" to traffic circles, that should discourage the hell beasts or kill their vehicle's suspension after several failures to comply with the rules of the road.

you forgot the part where its a mini circle , many people don't know the difference between a Mini circle and roundabout and the rules are different
