Bad Driving thread

An old indian man in his bmw decides it's safe for him to suddenly brake in the fast lane on the R21 this morning, my goodness!!!! My little fiesta almost had a coma. I brake so hard forcing my car into a dive, I look into the rear view and the car is braking I think her brakes locked on her. This bmw guy then just drives off. She later passes me and pulls off to the yellow line, could see she was in shock.
After that experience I don't think I want to be driving in the fast lane anymore.

Happened to me years ago on the n2 here. Also an old toppie. I hooted. Then something miraculous happened, a nearby traffic cop pulled him off. I was surprised. Wonder what happened.

It was 100m or so after the De Zalze traffic lights. At this time of day the traffic stands still between there and the Technopark traffic lights. I'm guessing that the De Zalze lights were green and they rode through it only to be caught up by the quick braking of people stopping for the Terchnopark lights queue.

LOL, no BMWs, they are all still in the showroom opposite the traffic lights :D

That on paradyskloof/kleine zalze part of the R44? I feel the most pity for the guy with the Renault, he will probably wait the longest for parts to arrive. Next time they will all know to keep good following distances.

:D So true! That's what happens when you get involved in a French affair.

Now that you mention it, I do see a lot more Renaults on the road these days. A bit more than the Pugs so I guess they are doing better in sales.

That said, I would not want to start my day like that in a multi car fender bender. At least no one was shouting or looked angry.

Wrong.;)
He will be the only one with his car written off and have an insurance pay out since it will be uneconomical to repair.

That's the problem, inattentive drivers, cellphones... We see this attitude everywhere on our roads.
It's quickly becoming a sick and destructive attitude of "I don't care"

Yesterday morning with the school run I was shell shocked with what a idiot Polo driver (with front and back fogs on in perfect weather and visibility :erm:) did.

In a train of cars, this idiot decides that the car in front is too slow going over the speed bumps in road, passes them over bump, speeds up in the oncoming lane to pass another car and then doing 60+km/h over a 3 way stop just before the school. Luckily no kids was crossing the road at that time.

Time for a dash cam, as I see idiots like this almost on a daily basis on my commute.

I saw a vivo yesterday jumping a red in peak traffic, almost taking 3 other cars out. Seems as if these polo driving think they own the road, must be former BMW/Audi/Merc drivers falling into hard times.

Hahahaha yoh don't get me started on vivo drivers, especially the vivo gt ones. Drove to Mokopane earlier this week, on the R101 before Bela Bela some red polo vivo gt was in front of me. Every time I tried to overtake this man, he would block me off and brake test me. So I manage to overtake him but this guy persisted on being in front of me, he overtakes me and does the whole slow driving thing. I got irritated overtook and left him. After my stop at Bela Bela, I caught up to him again upon seeing me he decided to speed off probably in gear 2.

What happened further down the road made me really wish I had a dashcam just for this. About 4km down the road I see this guy and I kid you not his car was parked off to the side of the road with his hazards on, smoke coming from the hood. Drove past slowly laughing at him just so I could be a d1ckh3ad

Can confirm. Most people from PE who belong here drive Polo's or Vivo's. Jetta's and Audi A4 aren't far behind along with Ranger drivers
