Bad Driving thread

You what grinds my gears, me with a lazy left foot but also people who don't stand still when you are turning at a intersection, going to hit me one day I'm sure.
 
Who stops and waits at red lights at 1am in the morning?

The other day coming from Pretoria after a long night of filming, mr police officer flagged me down for not waiting for the robot to turn green. I asked him why he drove off without waiting for it to go green he replied "You can't race with me, I am working"
His driving however was questionable, it was sh!tty!

I don't feel safe at that time of the night, anywhere, I will get to a robot, observe carefully and drive off. I will not wait for the light to turn green.

I know what you mean, I also don't wait at that time but try to cross slowly so I can see if anyone is coming, as its likely they are speeding drunk *****.

Me. Then I observe properly and I might then drive over if circumstances warrant it, I don't just cruise over.

I hear you but it's why I hate driving that time. You're driving along, there's a robot in the distance but it's green, been green for a while. And you see cars streaming through the intersection. Stressful time to be driving.

Happened at the William Nicol onramp near Fourways. He drives an old Chevrolet Spark with a roof rack and sells solar panels.

I agree. I do that as well, especially when it is dark and
1. The road is clear, and it is safe to cross over
2. You can't see well around you
I don't go racing through a red light for obvious reasons. Just slow down near to stopping, observe and then go.

Especially on the N14/R55 offramp, it is notorious for smash 'n grab. My stuff's in the boot anyway.

Agreed.

Like the women who rolls over a stop yesterday only to stop in the middle of the intersection to show her disgust at me hooting at her. I laughed at her but one day she might do someone innocent some harm.

Pet hate of mine is people who proceed into intersections without checking the road is clear, and then they all get this befuddled expression when they end up blocking the intersection for cross traffic when the lights change. :mad:

And the traffic is so bad that they would have anyways been in the queue at the next robot! But they will block the entire phase of the intersecting road!

I went through the intersection earlier today and I owe the Land Rover driver an apology, there are now two turning lanes right and the straight lane is on the left only.

Easy mistake because something changed . They changed the lanes on president fouche to get onto malibongwe now both can go right , but there is actually not enough space for that to happen

You clearly don’t drive in Pietermaritzburg - they don’t get befuddled at all, they proudly sit there knowing that they’re at least ahead of you.

Lol, I don’t thank that is restricted to pmb. Got clowns here that vere off route through the burbs to rejoin further on, traffic lights give them enough space to fill up the space for the rest of us . Result is gridlock
