Was that the driver?

Where exactly are emissions tested in south Africa when taking your car through roadworthy?
If in Cape Town, either gallows Hill technical centre, or Milnerton.
They also have the correct acoustic measuring equipment in an area that complies with specifications required for acoustic compliance tests.
Now we know which centres to avoid ...

I was finally confronted yesterday for not stopping at a yield for pedestrians by an elderly gent in a car who didn't stop at a stop street at the same intersection

Trucks this weekend on the weskus road. From Town on my way to Vredenburg. Saw a dust cloud rise up in distance and slowed down. True as Bob, all traffic stops. About 10 cars ahead of me, and then three trucks piled up. Total closure, no way around. and few kilos up the road you can see the Langebaan turnoff.
This closure meant i had to drive back to the darling/Yzerfontein turnoff. Through darling, and then a choice of 30km dirt road, or 70 odd km to Malmesbury, N7 and the R45. having no desire for dust and rattles i opted the long route...

At the end of the day, a 2 hour trip of 152 km turned into a 306km 4 1/2 hour trip.
What a mess.

So this morning I was the bad driver, sat at the traffic light, it changed to green for me and I just started driving without checking if the intersection is clear. There was a car coming from the front with me turning in front of it. I really don't know where my mind was as I never do crap like this, luckily the other car saw me going for it and hooted, but by that time I was already crossing his path. Would've been my first accident in many many years, and the first one ever to be my fault. :(

A driver treated themselves to a Ferrari - and then crashed it after driving less than two miles (3.2km), police said.

The luxury sports car sustained major damage in the crash in St Alkmund's Way, Derby, shortly before 11:00 BST.

Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit tweeted the driver, who had purchased the Ferrari this morning, was unhurt and no other vehicles were involved.

The car was moved off the road and the driver arranged their own recovery.
