A driver treated themselves to a Ferrari - and then crashed it after driving less than two miles (3.2km), police said.

The luxury sports car sustained major damage in the crash in St Alkmund's Way, Derby, shortly before 11:00 BST.

Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit tweeted the driver, who had purchased the Ferrari this morning, was unhurt and no other vehicles were involved.

The car was moved off the road and the driver arranged their own recovery.

This is why we keep safety measures enabled, folks (at least on public roads and with unfamiliar 500+ HP cars)

"Ferrari - designed by computers, hand-built by craftsmen, driven by MORONS!"

That's what happens when you set the Mannetino selector to ESC OFF when driving on a public highway...

The Manettino switch enables Ferrari drivers to change the characteristics of their Ferrari between different settings.

The driver can choose between these settings by moving the Manettino switch to the desired position, however you cannot move the Manettino switch directly into the ESC OFF / CST setting.

To choose the ESC OFF / CST setting, you need to hold the switch at the ESC OFF / CST position for a few seconds and it then selects that setting.

ESC OFF / CST means everything is deactivated except for the airbags and ABS!

I've been off this thread for a while as I try and be lenient with sh1tty drivers but today I had someone really rub me up the wrong way.

Was driving down a suburban road littered with speedbumps every 100 or so meters so you can't really build up speed. Anyway, as I get to the last speedbump I see this Polo try to overtake me, on a blind corner, across a solid line. So I give this lady the biggest 'WTF' expression as she pulls up next to me, seeing as there was a car coming from ahead as well that had to swerve off the side of the road to avoid her. She mouthed off something at me and continued driving along and then shot up a side road maybe 20m ahead.

PE drivers honestly deserve the reputation that they have and IMKI 1 EC isn't doing them any favours.

people can be strange sometimes. I must admit that near the end of the trip my patience is a lot thinner than at the beginning of the trip. Maybe she was just pushed too far that day.

Now that the roads seem to be pre covid back to normal, I find myself still looking at the car in the left lane and the car in the right lane, stopped at the robots in front of me, and assuming the gti or whatever in the left lane may be faster than the ancient 1400 bakkie in the right lane, loaded with workers. Small secret revealed now, the left lane is never faster, and everybody else but me knows that at that time.

I swear that gti will pull away so slowly that you need to brake behind him because you pull away faster, then all the cars you try undercut that are in the right lane, smirk at you as they head off in the horizon, whiles't you are stuck there. And nobody will let you in of course. Then when the guy with the recycling cart overtakes us both, that may be when I snap.

Something that really irks me: the guys that will stop at the red lights, in front of the line, then creep forward impatiently until they're in the middle of the intersection. Then the lights will go green, and I'm on the other side of the intersection before they dozily get there.

All the while riding the clutch and then complaining to their mechanic that the clutch only lasts 30k km.

This morning, while out and about.

Well what the fsck are you doing driving on their roads so early in the morning?!?!?!

My tale for the day.. Traffic in my neck of the woods is an absolute shyteshow thanks to a relatively major thoroughfare being washed away in the floods. I'm sitting in the bumper to bumper traffic in the morning, and this tow truck driver decides he's impatient or is important enough to try get to some accident and tries to squeeze between the oncoming traffic and the backed up vehicles, and as he turns to go down the little side road (also contraflow since that road is totally jammed) he basically swipes the front end of one of the vehicles sitting in traffic and makes the traffic even worse. I managed to go where I needed to go and get back and the fscking retard was still on the side of road with the victim of his impatience.

Commented that on youtube, was actually doing a volunteer patrol for our neighbourhood watch, had the strobes on so not like I wasn't seen lol.

The amount of stupid on south african roads are truly astonishing. It was foggy on baden powell this morning, and so many were trying their best to set up speed records, so many close call that I was driving with one wheel on the yellow line to try and get out of these arseholes way as much as possible. One buffoon in a nissan np200 overtook me at high speed and just as he went passed me there was a taxi stopped right in front of him in the right hand lane, he only missed the taxi as the taxi moved forward right before "impact". Idiots.
