Also watched that about a week ago, quite shocking, I'm convinced that these truck drivers are literally high on tik all the time and have never had a real/legal drivers licence of any kind.

I suspect they hit the nail on the head with the speculation that drivers are either penalised for not meeting delivery targets or given bonuses for delivering on time. And yes they might be using stimulants to be able to drive for longer. It certainly happens in other countries, like the US. I also remember incentives and penalties being a problem in the US. It encouraged drivers not to stop when they should and to drive faster.

I've had people do that to me a few times and not just recently. It's nothing new in South Africa. People just have cameras in their cars now to record it.

Perhaps his brakes had failed and he was warning you?
