The provincial Transport Department estimates that between 30% and 50% of drivers on KwaZulu-Natal roads may have obtained their licences fraudulently.

Would explain a lot.

I was fortunate to pass both my learners and drivers first time. Got my drivers back in 2005. Can only imagine how hard it must be to get now without buying it

The Cadres never get full. They just eat and eat and eat and eat and eat......

Yet another ANC success story of corruption to the MAX.

What is with these cyclists that ride next to each other in groups on the road?

They are legally required to ride in single file and are not allowed to ride abreast unless they overtake another cyclist.

Instead they choose to ride 3-4 abreast taking up the full lane.

I almost got head-on with an idiot in a bakkie that decided to suddenly overtake the cyclists right in front of me whilst I was going 60. And then the cyclists yell at ME because I was.... driving in my lane? These inconsiderate riders need to learn the road rules and what they are allowed and not allowed to do.

Every wednesday and friday here they cruise at ~20kmh in morning road rush taking up an entire lane and making a kilometer long queue every day.

These skinny wheel terrorists are the same everywhere in the world, little pricks that think once that Lycra is on, they can do whatever they want and shout angrily at every little thing. Who do you think is going to win, an 80kg bag of bones d!ckhead or a 1ton piece of steel?
We have a lot of them on our coastal road, 4 or 5 abreast. When you hoot at them, you're the problem.

My recent nemesis, insistent on killing or maiming fellow road users, is bucket-hat type young guys in those tiny supermini hatchbacks. They conduct themselves in the same vein as Delivery Riders, taking idiotic and dangerous gaps, all to zero advantage.

Those Baja things?

Jissus.

In the last 2 days I've seen 5 people drive straight through stop signs without even slowing down.
Twice of which it was my turn to go.

Julle mense ry kak!

:X3:
This is prolific in GP.

Have 3-5 near misses a week thanks to this. Almost got taken out by taxi doing this very thing on Tuesday while I was in the intersection.

Those Baja things?
The littlest Toyotas and Hyundais.

The Bajaj are so slow as to be harmless, I feel deep sorrow for the guys trying to make a living driving them. It must be immensely intimidating when your vehicle is incapable of operating appropriately in cut and thrust traffic.

More road shenanigans in and around Johannesburg...

I hate this intersection especially in the direction you are going. Not only do the taxi's use the turn right only lane to go straight, the road is badly designed. Far left lane, which goes straight, immediately merges into the right line on the other side of the intersection, so you have people just pushing their way into the right lane without checking if it is safe to do so.

Yep, also issues with the layout on Atholl Oaklands I think it is, coming from Melrose the far left lane is turn left only but is always used by those going straight towards Atholl.
