I have a bad habit of not looking at people "in the eye" when speaking to them.
Apparently I do this to everyone, friends, colleagues, girls, boys, old people etc

its very bad from what ive heard, people tend to think im snobbish or depressed or hiding something and whatever else they think.

I never noticed it before.

Any way I can fix it?
Is it serious or not?

What are you self-conscious about?

I don't think it's serious, but it might be perceived in a way like you mentioned above.
Not saying you're ill-mannered, but looking someone in the eye when talking to them is just good manners, IMHO.

Thats the thing, im not self concious, I have my moments but not really self concious.
Im also quite confident.

You break bad habits by replacing them with good habits. You build a habit by starting small and slowly building up. So, start by making a conscious effort to look someone in the eye once a day. Start with someone you feel comfortable around. After a day or two make a conscious effort to look two people in the eye a day. etc. etc.

It depends. In my kulcha, it shows disrespect to look at your elders in the eye.

Yip, started yesterday, even when watching TV.

I think guys like it when a woman displays a bit of mystery by not making direct eye contact, so it does have its advantages.

I tend to do the same .. dem eyes dey scary schit!

Lips and noses on the other hand .. yum!

Not that serious, but you should definitely practice looking into people's eyes when talking. It's easy to start off in a mirror talking to yourself

What's your isssue, are you always too busy or too in a hurry ?
I also started to not look people in the eye sometimes, purely because of boredom. I will listen to the person speak but look at who's walking in and out (of a restuarant) or what people are up to.
