Bad Latency

Yes had some real bad pings on saturday and sunday evenings.
 
Yup same here. I kept on Dcing on sunday I dced bout 5 time lucky there was a pally to off heal on our BRD run

Yeah, worst lag I've seen in ages. I thought it was iBurst but teamspeak was working fine and the other chap I was playing with (on ADSL) got knocked off a few times too.
 
Yup, I also had probs this weekend and I am on an "unshaped" service that generall is very stable with a +-350 ping ingame.

I was in the 700's last nite and sat nite I had disconnects and p-loss (about 25%) that pushed my ingame latency to 2k+.

I actually caused 2 Kara wipes because I went DC and got some bad freezes. We ran with only 3 healers and I was 1 of them. :mad:
 
I've been trying to play... ping is averaging about 2300, and keeps disconnecting every 5 min.

I am on ADSL unshaped, Saix
and as far as I can read the other guys have conections ranging from iburst to adsl.

Talking about pings that worsen from 500ish to 800ish
 
I want to move to 3G account for my laptop. What are your guys latency and usage per month?

I have a 4mbps unshaped saix account and still have bad latency must be a problem on the saix's lines. But no idea

On 3G and only playing WoW and surfing places like WoW Europe forums, Thottbott and other WoW places:

2 WoW accounts running simultaneously, I use just over 1gig.

As to this past weekend, it was okay with a few spikes. It was absolutely horrid last week.

Latency: 500 - 800ms.

I want to run only 1 account so would that be enough?
And some browsing.
I saw Vodacom got a special modem the whole thing and 1gb bandwith for R325 a month.
 
I think my usage is around 20 - 30mb / day.

Just a bit of a warning, 3G has been really terrible the past 3 or so weeks. I am talking of latency to EU servers of anything from 1.5k and up. Like I posted earlier, it did seem to improve over the weekend but do not expect sub 500ms pings (except at 4am on Saturday morning!). 600 - 800ms which imo is still playable is what we generally achieve.
 
I will give it a try tonite a mate borrowed me his card and sim. If all goes well I will get mine tomorrow.
 
Ok last nite I tested and got latency form 800 -1500 is this normal?or is the latency problem stil presisting?

from 500 - around 900 is normal for SA users.The only time ive evver had my ms above 1K was when i was using dial-up for WOW,Suprisingly with dial up my ms was around 700- 1200 which was still playable.
 
I got a 3/5 - 4/5 reception so could it just be the latency problems everyone is experiencing?
