Hi,

I stay in morningside

Got about 1 bar of 3g signal

Was wondering if there is anything which i can do to increase my signal.
about 50% of the times, my signal drops to no bars, searching for signal.

Back in cpt in the day, we got this booster from vodacom for our cellphones
cause of the bad reception we had in our house, worked well...

Was wondering if there is anything for 3G out there which can increase the signal or whatever.

Thanks guys

and signal boosters are available at Spacetv http://www.spacetv.co.za/

Before buying these boosters, you should check whether they are ICASA approved - when I last checked, they were not:eek:

The boosters on this website only support GSM900. This means that they will not improve your 3G signal and may result in regular disconnects when used on the GSM networks as the networks use both 900 and 1800MHz.

whilst we are on the topic .... why doesn't any of the modern 3G phones have a connector for an external antenna anymore?????? I still have my trusty old PCMCIA modem, Huwai 620 that can take an external antenna, and that has made all the difference to me, with a 12dB Yagi (Thanks Poynting and Radiant antennas ) .... with none of my 3G phones I get 3G access at home, I only get that from my trusty old Huwai 620 with external antenna.
