Bakkie Roll bar use

Hi all,

I have just gotten a Hilux s/c which will be used for moving furniture, was thinking of putting a rollbar(but only to protect the roof incase load is leaning against the part above the back window) Can you please advise on what other uses of a roll bar are?, what are the disadvantages and advantages of having it?

Some flimsy light metal bar will not do that. Now if it is properly designed, sure, it can serve that purpose.

Technically not even that anymore actually.... the brackets used are such light metal that they would sheer under any heavy force put on them.
