Forget enhancing it - some glorious people have remade Baldur's Gate in 3D! And it's free!

Well, it's free if you have Neverwinter Nights 2 and expansion packs Mask of the Betrayer and Storm of Zehir - it's a mod, you see.

Dubbed Baldur's Gate: Reloaded, this was a seven-year project undertaken by a team ranging from one person to five. Drew Rechner was the leader and told Kotaku that the mod helped him score a job in the games industry.

His helpers, equally deserving of a shout out, were Shallina, Greg Schneider, Andy Kasten and Sebastien Raymond

While I don't play magic games... this mod is a epic achievement.
 
I avoid anything with occult content... be it magic or ESP or whatever, unfortunately this includes most RPG's :/
 
Man I almost would go out and buy NWN2 just to get access to this mod. Played Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II as a kid so many times I can't even count. Well done to the community behind this.

Anyway, busy downloading NWN2 to try this out. Thank god for Gamersgate having the complete NWN collection on sale for R89.

That mod is really a huge achievement, installed it and played 10min. Greatness! Don’t have time to play games at the moment…

Thanks to mention “possess”, I want to play Ultima 8 now…
 
Ok lets see how this goes. I was skeptical at first, but then I saw some footage... They even got the same voice actors which definitely stirs me :o

I have downloaded NVN2 (incl all expansions) now its just the MOD files. That is gonna take a little while :( Only on part 3...

In one of the videos I was watching, he mentioned that you should install a HD widescreen mod and a HD UI mod. Gonna grab those two as well and fire this puppy up...

Surely they just took the audio files from the previous games and integrated them?

I can't imagine they actually went and found the original actors.

Still hilarious to hear Minsc again. He was always my favourite. :D

I think Jeheria was the best voice actors... especially when her man, Khalid gets killed!
