I have to fly to Singapore in December and thought I'd explore a bit of SE Asia while I'm there. Since I'll only have about 2 weeks, I'm juggling between Bali and Thailand (rather than try to squeeze in both) - any recommendations of which would be best? I'm looking for
a) R'nR - think quiet beaches, too much food, yoga spots
b) affordability - no specific budget in mind but I detest tourist hot spots and want to make the most of my money in the more exclusive/secluded spots
c) ideally I'd like to avoid other tourists while I'm there. Avoiding people in general would be the best, but then who'd bring me my fruity cocktail or cook my prawn curries?
