Hi guys, I bank with fnb...can someone explain why I get charged a "service fee"

I also get charged a "value added service fee" along with my "monthly account fee" which I understand!
What i dont understand is the first service fee charge.

I have a gold cheque account. The service fee usually comes a few bucks amonth so never really cared, however this month its r100 just for that one service fee so can anyone explain what the first service fee is for.

Depends what you did, for example you pay a service fee to play lotto. Asking here won't help much cause different things attract a fee.

Yea just looked through it thoroughly, turns out I was charged for atm withdrawals. Usually you get around 5k free withdrawals pm so didnt account for that.

Try using the cardless atm cash withdraw from the FNB APP, afaik you X amount for free and the fees are less.

That limit went down to R4000 per month now. They drop it every year...soon you won't be able to have cash, unless you pay a damn service fee

As far as I know, once you hit the limit for the month, it's best to withdraw at a till (Checkers or PnP) - because the fee there is smaller than at ATMs.

Only withdraw from till if possible.
No service fees, it's safer and bumps up your ebucks level.
