Comes in handy sometimes when out of country etc.

Wife account was blocked( internet banking side, not the card), I contacted private banker at 10pm in evening on the app, she phoned my international number to verify me and unblocked it. My wife's fingerprint keeps on screwing around on the fnb app, so it sometimes block her.

Capitec would told you to go a branch lol

Exact same service available to a normal el-cheapo account if you phone the fraud line directly .. something very similar happened to me whilst in Germany a couple of years back and all done immediately with Skype number, etc. from the fraud centre.

Might be less chance of fraud here right now in Sao Tome as it is basically cash everywhere! Interestingly Std Bank doesn't block internet banking access from remote parts of Africa whereas it blocked access from Russia a few weeks ago - I then needed to use a VPN to get around that hurdle.
