Bank Zero gets new prices for 2024

Fully digital bank Bank Zero has announced its updated fees for 2024.

While the prices of most services have been kept the same, there are a few noteworthy reductions in third-party costs and value-added services.

Would be interesting to see how many customers they have and what their growth is.

There is zero marketing etc - so who is signing up?

I have a account with them. Use it for trying to put a bit of money away with their notice account. 7.5% interest.

No Google Wallet support, No Payshap and they dont accept instant EFT from other banks. This prevents me from using them as my daily bank.

@Hanno Labuschagne perhaps you should ask them about that.

I am happy with them being a secondary account tbh.

I honestly would be happy with a R5 monthly fee in exchange for ApplePay and PaySh@t (I refuse to use the normal name for the service).

Why, did they do you wrong?

These are some ChatGPT generated names, arguably not the best:
  • MobileWalletPay
  • SwiftSend
  • BankLinkPay
  • MobileMoola
  • InstaTransfer
  • Phone2BankPay
  • QuickCashMobile
  • PayConnect
  • MoneyMover
  • SpeedyBankTrans
  • CellPayExpress
  • CrossBankSwift
  • MobileMoneySwift
  • InstantBankLink
  • MobileMoneyFlow
  • QuickTransferPro
  • SpeedyMobiPay
  • SendSwiftly
  • MobileBankMate
  • InstantMobiFund
Perhaps they wanted to distance the service from other mobile money companies/services? Hence the name PayShap?

Yeah, I agree it's not the best name:ROFL:
Wonder how they arrived at PayShap
We love instant payments and cash sending. We do not support Payshap, its emblem and the ”colours" that the banks have given it and, therefore, as forumites, we wanted colours that represented democracy. And instant payments.

Tymebank does 10% with a 10 day notice period I think. And they do have Payshap, instant EFT etc.
