Banks show little progress on mobile apps

Capitec still doesn't have a banking app available. This is my biggest problem with them at the moment.

Is it safe doing banking on your phone?

Eg. If you have a custom keyboard installed, how do you know that it is not keylogging your passwords?

My Samsung keyboard learns the words that I use, how do I know its not a keylogger?

FNB's mobile app is the ****. If anything keeps me with this bank - its the mobile app.

I say the same about the Nedbank app. I wonder how the Nedbank app stacks up against the FNB app. At some point, it was said that the Nedbank app is very secure.

Standard Banks app is ok-ish... Could be a lot better..... but then again, rather keep it simple than complex...

If you don't install dodgy keyboards you're ok. Plus the thief needs your SIM to steal your money on mobile.

You can buy a +3 Tinfoil Hat from Bid or Buy which should be able to help you find out.

The new Standard Bank app for tablets is pretty good, way better than the older mobile app.

No WP app from Absa. Seems I will have to change my bank or my phone. I have grown rather attached to my phone.

I have both, FNB streets ahead - look, feel and functionailty.
