Great,

So now first of I got hacked, got that sorted and now my account is banned. I tried to log in this morning and got the message saying "This account is no longer active, pls check <url>"

I have been banned for using 3rd party automation software "HACKS".

Now I have to petition my ban... What a bloody mess.

Anyone know how long it's going to take before my account is re-activated?

Try contact Blizzard asap, be prepared for ID and location checks, original CD-Keys and proof that you are the owner of your account name
 
normally few days just give them orginal key etc etc, or phone blizzard support which is pain in the arse :P
 
A few days?!?!?!?!?!

I included my classic cd key in the e-mail. Glad I found it though was a mission :o.

What's grinding my balls is the fact that they investigated the hacking of my account and re-instated my items and then a few days later ban my account. How the hell does that work?

Probably a different internal department for Warden detection... so maybe they don't check with client services of reported hacks and just issue bans as soon as they detect something.
 
I really do wonder about the relationship between gold farmers and these hackers.
It all just seems really logical to me that there is a relationship between the two, because the first thing that the hacker does is to try to accumulate and redistribute gold.
And I get really irritated that Blizzard are treating the problem so lightly.

Though ... there is also a possible relationship between those "pass-number generator" thingies and extra blizzard profits for selling them.
 
Well if Bobby Kotick(sp) has anything to do with it I wouldn't be suprised.... after all the gold sellers, from what I've heard from other MMO's (Age of Conan), actually offer the game owners kickbacks for allowing them more leniency with spamming and selling gold.

Feck sorry to hear that Pitbull. Its happened to me before, got hacked and banned for breaking ToS. If everything goes smoothly it could take 2 to 3 days. Just keep on their case.

I feel that they need to credit me my game-time for these days. This is not my fault what so ever and they are now wasting 3 days of my play time.
 
Btw:

I logged into Battle.net and saw it's a PERM BAN....
Do they lift Perm bans though even if I wasn't at fault?
 
My account was banned for using "lowerping" and all that, was essentially my fault however. It took just 2 days after submitting my i.d with original key. Just type out a very well written paragraph, include your i.d photo etc and send. Took just under 2 days for them to respond by unlocking my account.

PS: It was a perma ban.
 
write a HUGE letter - the person would be too lazy to read it and then just lift the ban.

Or they would just brush it aside. My first request was a huge letter, took 2 weeks with no response.

Fk me this sucks.... I was planning on farming ores for the Cataclysm expansion and now this. Wish they would have spoken to the GM who gave back my items BEFORE banning my account. FK FK FK FK FK FK FK FK FK FK FK ........
 
well, when I got hacked a long time ago, all my stuff got restored and then 2 days later I got banned as well, the reason this happen is was that the chinesse gold farming trojan installing thief still managed to have some infectious file on my pc even though I thought it was clean. I did all the steps in the removing virus guide and redid it again after that, I then sent a mail and the sorted it out with in a few days. It makes sense otherwise essentially you are support the thiefs.

that took about 30mins. Afterwards i logged in and took the gold from the mail box, it was 200K, i was then banned again for online trading activities, i sent an email via their webform. I had my account back about 3 hours later.
 
That's for bragging about never getting hacked in 4 years :p

3 hours would be good :)
Not getting my hopes up anyway, just going to prolong my agony. I'll just wait and see what happens.
