Bar - Wedding

Even better, have a smaller wedding and save the money for the future. At the end of the day years later no one really cares how big your wedding was.

The most sensible advice in this thread. Sounds like most of you okes got conned with the whole wedding thing

PS. If your missus wanted an expensive big white wedding you chose wrong. Unless you're stinking rich in which case she married you for your bucks anyway.

You provide the wine at the tables.

Anything else anyone can pay for themselves.

You are already providing them with a meal and everything after all.

Also don’t go into debt to host a wedding and if you have more than 50 people there you are doing it wrong. Easy rule, if you haven’t heard from them in six months they don’t need to be there.

It's a once in a lifetime party. If you can afford it go batshit.
Got married 21 years ago, 300 people at the wedding. Took us all a week to recover.
Then I had to find the wife.
Ask no questions.

This if you want a wedding is the best advice and you're still looking at over 60k more then likely

We are planning our wedding on a game farm (farm was provided as a wedding gift)

Our plan is to let people bring their own drinks. We will have a selection of drinks available if someone runs out (as they always do)

All money collected from accommodation is also ours for a honeymoon or whatever
