I'm interested in the BAA course. It would both allow me to volunteer as a BAA (something which I really would like to do), and seems much more comprehensive than lvl 3 First Aid.

Any suggestions as to who in Pretoria will offer it after-hours, at a competitive price?

I don't have enough leave left to do even a 2 week course during the week, hence the after-hour criteria.

Netcare's college is the best place to do it there as well as a place called HELP or something.

Do the course part time, it's 2 nights a week and a Saturday, that's how I did mine.

Need to ask anything, ask away!

PS: People don't refer to it as BAA anymore, they will generally use BLS - if you say BAA - people think you're a SHEEP! :D

Yup,it called a BLS. I think my sister had to do a refresher course the other month in it,or something else.

@Korn & Gdiza, thanks!

I'll look into the BLS courses, might help if I actually search for the correct term. What's the cost (approximate) of the Netcare program? The two nights/Saturday idea seems perfect.

last I looked it was under R10k part time. They have 2 part time course intakes a year from what I remember. Next one should be in July.

Wanted to do mine, but with work I cannot guarantee I will be in the country for 6 months and course attendance is basically mandatory.

Also, Gdiza did his last year. And he is always bored at home, so hound him with questions :) lol
