Is it safe to drink bathroom water? Hotels I've been to seem to have one tap, the same tap used to wash hands, so is this water drinkable?

Depends where you are. In general I only drink filtered or bottled water though.

I'm not sure that there is a direct correlation between tap quantity and potability.

All the pipes in the hotels likely get the water from the same intake pipe (unless specifically stated otherwise), so you are showering and bathing in drinkable water, so there is the answer to you question.

What are the chances? Never heard of anyone getting sick from bathroom water
All depends on where you are. I travel around Africa for work a lot and you very quickly learn not to drink tap water.
Some places you don't even brush your teeth with tap water.

Learnt that the hard way.

What country are you people living in? Tap water in SA is perfectly fine to drink in most areas, definitely in any city where you're likely to be staying in a hotel.

I pray this never becomes "a myth" or the next polony case. But thank goodness, despite all the apparent aging infrastructure and leaks everywhere, the quality still seems to be intact.

All the water comes from the same place...

So it all depends where/what that place is exactly, but individual taps are not going to make any difference.

Assuming you are in South Africa it's all good and safe.
