Batman - Arkham Knight

Something awesome better be given to PC players as way of an apology.

Highly doubt that they will. At most they will apologize one more time or give people a discount voucher on something that almost nobody wants or something like that.

Batman: Arkham Knight Won't Be Fixed On PC Until Spring, Claims Leaked Email

An internal email sent to EB Games staff members claims that, according to Warner, the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight will not be fixed until Spring.

EB Games has already removed all PC versions of the game from stores but — as a result of this news — now intends to send all PC copies of the game back to Warner.

“As previously advised,” read an internal EB Games email, “we have stopped sales of Batman: Arkham Knight PC while Warner and Rocksteady work on addressing performance issues with the game. The latest information from Warner is that the updates won’t be available until Spring. Due to this we have made the difficult decision to recall all PC stock from stores to return to the vendor until an acceptable solution is released.”

“Spring” is vague, and refers to Australian spring which is only two months away, but the delay on a fix has been deemed significant enough for EB Games to return all stock back to Warner locally. That in itself, seems telling.

Rocksteady has released a small fix for the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight, but none of the major performance issues have been addressed. Sales of the game are still suspended on Steam.

We’ve contacted Warner locally, and will update if they respond with an official statement.

*Sigh*

Spring is a rather vague timeline. American Spring or Australian Spring?

In either case, it means a fix is at least 2 months away. Not that I have bought this game, but if I had, I would rather wait for a proper fix than have them rush out half a job. Let them take their time to do their fixing and testing properly. Heck, they've already taken the financial hit of having to pay out refunds.

Maybe they should have considered this before rushing the release?
But this is becoming the norm now it seems.
Get the people that buy your games to beta them for you; rather than actually beta testing anything themselves.

This saga is one of the reasons I don't pre-order anymore...

With steam returns things are gonna change I reckon as the companies are losing money now.

Why is the "A Matter of Family" DLC is not available in the PS Store ? Well, I probably won't get it anyway, a bit tired of this game after finishing the exhausting riddle challenges and NG+ Mode. Did anyone here manage to get the Brutality 101 trophy: Perform 15 different moves in one freeflow?

I have a season pass, so I'll get all the DLC (on PC, so a long time from now probably). But yeah, not sure how much I care for any DLC after the Riddler trophies. I have a handful still to get, and after that I'll be 100%. It's crazy that they force you to collect them all to get the proper ending.

AFAIK the separate DLCs will come out one week after the release dates for those that bought the Season's Pass.

I don't think I'll be getting any of them given how short the Harley DLC was and this one is pretty short too. People are saying they finished in in 1.5 hours :erm:

Sounds like they are bringing out a patch some time in August for the PC, but they didn't say what it would fix.
Unfortunately it only sounds like a patch to try and calm down some people. Don't really have high hopes that it will fix much with this one.

Hi can anyone confirm if the performance has been fixed by now? I've got an MSI GTX 750ti OC and not sure if I should buy this or not?

Edit: Anything above 30fps is ok with me. Although 60fps during combat would be ideal. As long as it doesn't dip below 30fps while fighting lots of guys.

Im running a AMD Phenom II 1090t X6 with a HD7970 GHZ Edition and the gameplay is now ACCEPTABLE. The only issue with this game is you start running in to stutter after say about 30 minutes of play. The solution is one of 2 things.

A: You need 16gig of ram
B: make your solid state drive the virtual memory

Other that that the game runs fine

It's not cut and dry with Arkham Knight. I preordered the game on PC and played without issues from launch. Good framerates on max graphics. This is with an i5-3570K, HD7990 (both liquid cooled), 8GB RAM and the game installed on a mechanical HDD. Performance actually decreased with some of the patches, but fortunately I was just about done with the game by then. Some games are just weird with how they work with certain configurations.

Same thing with GTA IV. Everyone couldn't stop complaining about what a bad port it was, and yet from launch my Core 2 Duo E8500 and HD4850 ran it perfectly with most visual settings on max.
