My bro got the damn Battered Hilt off some trash in FoS yesterday in a pug! :D (lucky bugger) Hes busy doing the chain of quests to get the sword/mace.

Anyone else got it?

Anyone else actually seen the reward item yet?

I have seen 2 on the AH for arround 17 000 gold which is just crazy! :wtf:

I've seen all the rewards on wowhead.... would make an awesome upgrade...pity they are selling for over 50k :cry:
 
What is the Battered Hilt? ^_^ Only hear about it never seen it....for what class is it?
 
Just glad my polearm is better in terms of stats.

However if it drops I would still like to roll on it and pass it over to my deathnub knight.

@ Fayera - its a item that starts a quest for an epic sword. Very decent stats.
 
Your best bet is check wowhead. Its a legendary weapon for all classes. You can choose from a few versions when you complete the quest.
 
I got it about 2 weeks ago. It is a quest item that starts a long and involved quest that see's you running multiple instances to complete it. You even visit some old school content. Don't buy it off the AH though as it's not worth the 10K+ that some people are asking. It has a chance to drop off any of the 3 new ICC dungeons so just be on the lookout.

The above poster is not quite correct though. the weapon you receive at the end is only ilevel 251 and is not legendary, but epic in qaulity. For classes that cannot use swords, alternative quest rewards are available.

Remember Legendary's are those orange ones :)

:o my bad. I checked it up once and didnt bother again. Could have sworn i saw orange. :wtf: think i should have my eyes checked.

There is an legendary quest item reward as well, but it is not related to the hilt.
 
I remember seeing it drop on my 1st FOS run on the rls day, rolled 88 and 1 other dude rolled 89 :(

Not that I want it for my main, maybe give it to my alt or rather sell it (as one should really do with all BOE things)
 
I have seen three (and this was after they nerfed the drop rate) and lost the roll every time.

I would sell the hilt though as there are no dagger awards.
 
Saw it drop off trash for the first time last night in FoS hc... outrolled by 3 :cry:
 
Picked up a sweet 2H'er from ICC10 that probably equals Quel'Delar, so if I ever get one of these I'll probably just auction it off. Could use a 5digit cash injection.
 
I saw it drop once in HoR but i didnt get it :(
