What battery do I need for a garage opener. I attached the specs in a photo below. I currently have one but I think it's shot because it's only last about 2 opens/closes before it dies completely.

It's not in those specs, you have to somehow acees the battery to tell.

This uses a 24 volt battery and I'd recommend a 24 volt lithium that is designed for ET garage door motors

The battery comes with quite a long lead and you'll have to attach it on top with cable ties

The original batteries are 2 x 12 volt 1.3 a/h, connected in series, see

words cannot describe how glad I was to find Red Pole made a lithium drop-in replacement for the old nonsense 24v battery

Any thoughts on the Lalela vs Red Pole battery for sorting out my garage door?

One would usually go for the biggest Ah battery where possible. But you also have to look at the discharge currents.

The Red Pole has a 10amp discharge current and 20amp burst.
The Lalela has a 10amp discharge but no info on the burst rate on the 24v one.

I would check what amps the motor is using when operating if its below the 10amp rating then either one will work. I have hardly ever seen any motor go higher than 2-5amp though that can change when the gate/door is heavy or something is stuck.

Both have a 1 year warranty at takealot and the Lalela has more capacity 156Wh vs 86Wh. According to Red Poles website the say 3 year warranty.

For everywhere else where they don't have constant power issues, sure, not in SA, though technically my gate, alarm and garage are still lead acid.
