Battery for Nokia 6310i - where?

Anyone know where I can get a new battery for a Nokia 6310i. It's time to go retro.

Try Nokia South Africa?

Personally I don't use Gumtree anymore (too many dodgy Nigerians), but maybe you can post there and get a willing seller.

/has a working unit, charger, manual, box (I think)
battery still lasts about 10 days - 2 weeks with normal use(tested it again last month)
was given it as a hand-me-down.

not for sale. Has a spare sim in. Back up phone.

Agreed, I also want an old school phone now. 8210, 5110 somthing like that. Just for calls and sms's

If you based in JHB the best place would be Opposite the Oriental Plaza they have all types of phone spares there. I know they will have it.

Just make sure that the battery is not too old. Li-Ion batteries have a two year shelf life, after that you can throw them away.

Preferably the manufacturing date should be in the last six months.

The theory is that they lose 30% of their capacity in the first two years, and then 30% per year after that. This is after the date of manufacture.

So if you buy a three year old battery, which can easily happen with these old phones, then it is stuffed before you get it.

Sometimes they go quicker, and sometimes they last a bit longer.

my 6510 still gets used when I need a backup
last about 2 days
not bad for 12 year old phone and original battery

I still used my Moto V3 RAZR until recently, but then gave it to a woman at work.

These phones makes a good car phone, which is what i use it for. The battery life is fantastic.
